Excursion to Rickett’s Point Marine Sanctuary

On Monday 4th of December students from Learning Centre One finally got to go to Rickett’s Point Marine Sanctuary and Beaumaris Life Saving Club as part of the science program.

In Term One this year students learnt about the marine environment and were meant to go on this excursion but due to extreme weather on the day the excursion was postponed until the end of the year. Unfortunately, the weather was not looking good for the planned date of  30th of November so we decided to move the excursion to Monday 4th of December.

The weather was perfect and students participated in three activities. Rockpool Rambling, Beach Safety Games and Beach Play in the shallows. Students and staff members had a wonderful day which ended with a sausage sizzle lunch.
