This year, 24 grade 5 and 6 students participated in the Australasian Problem Solving Mathematical Olympiads (APSMO) Junior Contest. They completed 20 multi-step, problem solving questions in total across 4 assessments throughout the year. Congratulations to everyone for participating!
Special congratulations to our students below who achieved a Top 25% finish amongst 100,000+ students across Australia and New Zealand with scores ranging between 12-14 out of 20:
James Be
James Li
Kulan Hiswella
Eric Dutulescu
Kostaki Tekes
Derek Hak
Arnold Yang
Not only did we have students finishing in the Top 25%, we also had two amazing students finish in the Top 10% with a score of 15+ out of 20 and they were Raj Khatusuria and Christopher Wong Mew Wah. Christopher achieved the highest score at Silverton Primary School and was given a trophy by APSMO to acknowledge his achievement. Well done Christopher and Raj!
