Science at Silverton
This term in Science.
This term in science in Grade One and Two have been learning about what happens to different substances when they are mixed together.
Students in Grade Three and Four have been learning about the importnace of soul and about acids and bases. They studies different soil samples and made indicator paper using purple cabbage.
Students in Grade Five and Six have been learning about the importance of heathly waterways and how to test for water quality as part of the River Detectives citizen scienve program. They collected water samples from our school pond and looked for aquatic macro invertibrates and tested the water for pH levels.
