Grade 4/5 Camp

Our Grade 4/5 students went to Waratah Beach Camp - Waratah Bay.

Waratah Beach Camp – Waratah Bay 2022

As I got on the bus to go to WARATAH BEACH CAMP, I was extremely excited!. After Miss Tyme told us about some important things before, we left. Everyone put their seat belts on and then we took off! My friends and I started playing truth or dare and some other games. 1 hour later, we stopped at a playground where we could eat our snack. I had some chips, a muffin and a banana. I was so hungry, so I ate quickly. After that we got back on the bus and we played a lot of games like rock paper scissors, truth or dare, would you rather and many other games.

2 hours later we were FINALY there! It took forever but it was worth it!!!  The people that own the camp told us some things about the camp and activities. When that finished, we took off our shoes and went inside to the place that we were going to eat, it was very wide and open. They told us to sit down at any table we like and eat our lunch. Once that was over, they told us who was in our cabin. I think I had pretty good people in my cabin. After that we had to get in our activities group and we did some activities, had afternoon tea, and then it was time for DINNER!!

We had a choice of lamb or pork, I chose pork with a potato, pumpkin and pees. After that was dessert, for dessert there was apple crumble and ice cream. I got both! After dessert we went back to our cabins had a shower got dressed in some other clothes came out of our cabin, and they said that we are going to have a camp fire and a night walk.

They put us in bed after ten o’clock and I was happy that my friends were in the cabin but they were so noisy so I was glad when they put teachers at every door to keep people quiet so we could get to sleep.

The activities there were at camp were dolphin dodge, aero ball, treasure island, caterpillar crawl, the pit, look up look down beach walk, beach volleyball, low ropes and rock climbing  My favourite was the giant swing.

We really enjoyed seeing the teachers have a go on the Flying Fish (Giant Wing) on the last day of the camp. We finally got all of our luggage back on the 3 buses and headed off back to school at 1pm. We stopped at the same park again and had a play on the playground equipment.

When I finally got back to school I was really tired and happy to go home.
