Rapid Testing Update

Dear Parents,

The Victorian Government has announced that the Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) screening program will be continued into the first four weeks of Term 2. Please see the attached letter from the DET.

A box of RAT’s, for the first two weeks of next term, will be sent home with your child this week.

It is recommended that students attending the School Holiday Vacation Program test twice weekly.  Extra Rapid Antigen Tests will be available from the Vacation Care co-ordinator if you need extras.

We recommend that you continue to test two days a week when we return for Term 2.

In an update from the Health Department, following the end of isolation for a student or staff member who has tested positive, there is an 8-week exemption from testing and isolation requirements. This was previously 30 days but has recently been increased to 8 weeks. So, if your child tested positive on April 1, and completed isolation on April 7 then they would be exempt from testing and isolating until June 7.
