We are the Mario Kart and Just Dance division champs!
Silverton Primary School takes home more trophies this year for winning in both the Mario Kart and Just Dance division tournaments hosted by The FUSE Cup. This means that the winners will be invited to the state and national finals held live on the Gold Coast in November!
The Mario Kart team consisted of Hicham in 56M, Levi in 56M, Xavier in 56K and Riaan in 56S. They represented the school at the Melbourne Metro Division tournament and played against 48 other students from schools such as Camberwell Girls Grammar, Caulfield Grammar, Genazzano FCJ College, Ivanhoe Buckley campus, Ivanhoe Plenty campus, Kilvington Grammar, Melbourne Girls Grammar and Serpell Primary. The competition was challenging, but Hicham came through in the grand finals to win it for Silverton Primary School!

The Just Dance team consisted of Amelia in 56S, Reyansh in 56S, Varadha in 56S and Asiya in 56P. They represented Silverton at the Melbourne South Division tournament and played against 60 other students from schools such as Boneo Primary, Don Bosco Catholic Primary, Mentone Grammar, Haileybury, St Peters College and Yarra Valley Grammar. The team danced their heart out and supported one another with lots of cheering and even danced with each other despite it not being their turn. The high level of camaraderie shown won them the championship title with only a 100 point difference to 2nd place (which for those who have never played Just Dance before, that is equivalent to 2 mistimed dance moves across 4 songs)! Not only are Silverton the team champions for Just Dance, but also the solo champion with Reyansh accumulating the most points out of every competitor!

These kids will represent Silverton Primary School on the grand stage in Gold Coast and compete for the title of state champions in Victoria! If they manage to do that, they will then have a fighting chance at the national champion title!
