Dear Silverton Families,

It’s hard to believe we have less than four weeks left in the school year! Thanks again to everyone for your ongoing support to our school community as we navigate our way through a very unique and challenging year. As I have said before, I’m extremely proud of the way we have all looked after each other.

It has been exciting to welcome our 2023 Foundation students to three Transition sessions now. One more to go! Thank you to all staff who have contributed to these sessions.

A big thank you to our Parents and family members who volunteered their time at both the Halloween Disco and the Slime Run. Both events were a big success and we simply could not run them without the support and efforts of our volunteers. On behalf of the staff and students, thank you! We would always welcome any new parents and family members who are able to help at our school events. Please let the office know if you are able to help.

Well done to all students in year’s 3-6 who participated in our Swimming Program. The children did a fantastic job and thank you to all staff who supported the running of this program.

I would also like to congratulate our Year 5/6 students on their preparation for Market Day. I wish them all the best for what will be a great day next Wednesday!

I wanted to let everyone know that our staff, students and School Council have been carefully considering some ways that we as a school can pay tribute to Ms Prosser. I have been given some great suggestions. I will update everyone once we have made a decision on what we would like to do.

Lastly, a few reminders:

Students should not be arriving at school before 8:45am each morning as staff are not on before school duty until this time. If you need your child supervised earlier than 8:45am, please enquire with our Oshcare Program.

Please ensure that students are in full school uniform. If you have any questions about school uniform, please contact the school.

Hats need to be worn at all times when students are outside this Term.
