2022 September - Newsletter 10

Silverton Primary School's Newsletter - September 2022
As we come to the end of another very successful Term at Silverton PS, I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has contributed to making this Term so successful. We have so many people in our community who give up their valuable time to ensure our children are given the best opportunities possible. To everyone who has helped a big thank you.
Athletics
This term we held our Senior House Athletics Day at Ross Reserve. The children were very excited about what they were doing and how they could support their “House” in the Athletics Carnival. A great day was had by all. A very special thank you to the PA Helpers who cooked and served the children a well-earned lunch.
Congratulations to the students who represented Silverton at the District Athletics Carnival. The children all competed so well. Good luck to the children who made their way to the Divisional Finals.
Tomorrow (Thursday 8th September), we will hold the post-poned Junior Athletics Day on the oval. Parents are welcome to attend. Foundation to Grade 2 students can wear their house colours.
Foundation Enrolments 2023
We held a Stem afternoon at Silverton for any Kindergarten age child. It was pleasing to see next years’ Foundation children in attendance working closely with some of the older children. I look forward to seeing them again in Term 4 for our Transition Days.

State School Spectacular
This year we again have several of our children performing at the State Schools Spectacular to be held at John Caine Arena this weekend. The children have been rehearsing with Miss Molly and are excited about performing in front of a large audience. Good Luck to all.
Father’s Day
It was great to see so many dads up here on Friday afternoon with their children enjoying the games and pizzas. Thank you to the Parents Association and Mr Pollard for their organisation of this event.
Take care
Amanda
School will be dismissed for the term break on Friday September 16 at 2.30pm. I remind everyone that Term Four is a “school hat term”.
