2022 End Of Term 1 Newsletter 4

Silverton Primary School's 2022 Newsletter 4
What a productive term we have had. It is hard to believe that we are already in the last week. I know that many of our students are starting to tire, and I can understand why, an incredible amount of learning and events has been happening during this time.
Thanks to all families who have sent in Easter ‘goodies’ for our Easter Raffle - it is much appreciated by Silverton Primary School Student Leaders. Every student has been entered into the raffle and it will be drawn on Friday.

NAPLAN Demonstration Site
In 2022, NAPLAN is now online for all students. There will no longer be paper based tests except for the Writing assessment for Year 3 students. If you would like to know what this will look like for your child in Years 3 and 5, head to this website to experience the online version of the NAPLAN test.

Open Night
Open Night commenced with families enjoying the music while having a sausage, and was followed by the Glee Club, Junior and Senior Band and Dance Troupe performing on the green area. All the learning spaces were open for viewing and it was great to see so many in attendance. Thank you to all the parents and staff for volunteering their time at the BBQ.

Cross Country
The weather was fabulous, and our students participated with great enthusiasm. A big thank you to Mr Petersen and Mr Tang for your organisation, to all the parents and to our student leadership group for their assistance, in making this such a successful event. Well done everyone!!
Mothers and Special Friends Event
To celebrate our Silverton mothers, grandmothers and other special friends, we invite you to attend a special Morning Tea Friday 6 May 11.00am. I just wanted you to be aware of this in advance so that you can make arrangements to attend if possible.
My thoughts are with anyone recovering from COVID or stuck in isolation.
Take care and have a wonderful holiday,
Amanda
