2024 Newsletter #6
Dear Silverton families,
Hard to believe that we are nearly halfway through the school year! Where has the year gone? I would like to say a big thank you to our whole community for making the first half of the year so enjoyable.
Our teachers are very busy finalising school reports at the moment and I thank them for all of their hard work.
Lots of things have happened this term.
- Fuse Cup Just Dance
- Move and Grove Day
- Division Cross Country
- Regional Cross Country
- Senior Hooptime
- Childrens Advisory
Well done to all the students who participated in these events/excursions and a huge thank you to all staff that assisted.
Our staff had a very productive Professional Practice Day on Tuesday 11th June.
Just a reminder that we are taking enrolment for 2025 Foundations. If you have a child or know anyone who's child will be starting school in 2025, please encourage them to contact the school for a tour.
I have been made aware that there are a number of students in years 3-6 who do not have the necessary stationery items in their pencil cases. Can parents/carers please ensure that by the beginning of Term 3 their child has grey lead pencils, coloured pencils, scissors etc in their pencil case.
So far in 2024 our Parents Association have raised $6398.40. A fantastic effort! Thank you so much to all who have helped us so far this year! Our goal is to raise funds for some new drink taps and some more sports equipment for the sports trolley.
Last day of Term Two is Friday 28th June. School finishes at 2.30pm on this day. Term Three begins on Monday 15th July.
Once again, thank you for your ongoing support.
Thank you,
Mark Pollard – Principal
