2022 June - Newsletter 7
Silverton Primary School's 2022 Newsletter 7
Thank you to our students and parents for your understanding these past few weeks with some of the disruptions to regular school routines due to the higher than usual number of absences. The Flu/Covid/Colds have been causing chaos right across the state with schools experiencing some workforce pressures as a result. I would like to publicly acknowledge and thank the dedication of our teachers and education support staff at Silverton, who have continued to ensure the continuity of learning for students. Staff have worked through illness from home to ensure lessons and support plans are developed and passed on, they have taken on extra students, they have performed different roles, undertaken extra yard duties, and taken on new lunchtime clubs to continue providing wellbeing and engagement support for our students. Please join me in thanking all the teachers and staff for their ongoing commitment to our students and school.
Farewell to Mrs Donnellan
This term we say goodbye to our amazing classroom teacher and well-being leader Mrs Lisa Donnellan who has been a part of the Silverton Primary School family since she started at our school in 2009. We know she will be missed by her class, and the students and staff at SPS. We wish Lisa all the best with her new adventure at Monterey Secondary College. Mrs Melissa Gahan (Williams) will be replacing Mrs Donnellan in 56O on Thursdays and Fridays.
Miss Cartledge is going on leave for the rest of the year. We all hope she enjoys the next six months in Tasmania.
2023 Enrolments
We are now accepting Prep Enrolments for 2023. If you have a child that is ready to start school in 2023, please complete an enrolment form (which can be found on the school website or at the office) and submit it to the school together with a copy of your child's birth certificate, immunisation certificate and any visa details that are relevant. Enrolment forms can be dropped off at the office or emailed to: admin@silverton-ps.vic.edu.au
Younger siblings of current students are guaranteed a place at Silverton, but we still require an enrolment form to be submitted.
