October 2019 Newsletter

Welcome to Silverton Primary School's e-Newsletter.

Dear Parents,

Welcome Back
A warm welcome back to all our families and students for Term 4. I trust you all had a relaxing holiday break. Term 4 is always very busy and we have many events and activities to look forward to such as our swimming program, Gr 2 Sleepover, Colour run, Movie night,  excursions, Year 6 Graduation and transition days, and as always a lot more learning.

Over the holiday break the Foundation outdoor learning area was upgraded.  I am very pleased with the final outcome and the students are enjoying their new area.

2020 Enrolments

We are currently in the process of organising teaching staff for next year and it is very important for us to know our enrolment numbers for 2020.

If you know that your child will not be attending Silverton Primary next year, could you please write a letter informing me of your 2020 intentions as soon as possible.

If you haven’t enrolled your new foundation child for 2020 please contact the office for an enrolment form.

Thank you in advance.

Sun Smart School

Being a Sun Smart School, it is expected that all students are to wear a navy blue school hat. This hat is to be worn during P.E. / SPORT sessions and at recess and lunch times.

All children should have their own hat and it should be brought to school every day or it can be left at school. Hats can be purchased from the office for $17.95 or from Primary School Wear (PSW) uniform shop. Please ensure your child has the correct school hat as soon as possible and it is named.

Thank you to the Parent Association for running a successful Bunnings BBQ over the holiday break.

Don’t forget it’s a curriculum day this Friday 18 October, students don’t have to come to school.
