Congratulaions to Silverton’s Football team and Mr Peterson for winning the Division Final.

WJ Turner Reserve
A big thank you to our school community and school council for all their support in regards to WJ Turner Reserve’s first draft masterplan. A revised Masterplan is ready to view and comment on, http://greaterdandenong.com/document/32764/help-shape-the-future-of-wj-turner-reserve
The council are running two drop in sessions to discuss the redevelopment of WJ Turner Reserve and Barry Powell Reserve. Please drop in and leave your comments.
Saturday 17th August, Barry J Powell Reserve, 57 Halton Road Noble Park North 12 pm - 3 pm
Sunday 1st September, WJ Turner Reserve, 125 Jacksons Road, Noble Park North 9 am - 12 pm
Alternatively, you can email your feedback to the school on admin@silverton-ps.vic.edu.au or talk to Amanda Prosser or Mark Pollard by 21 August as we are meeting the council to discuss the plans.
School Concert – another exciting school event on our calendar which will be fantastic. Tickets are selling fast. If you would like to come along, please purchase your tickets soon, https://www.trybooking.com/BDQZX
If you are having any trouble purchasing tickets please come up to the school office.

If anyone is available to assist with being a Car Park attendant on Tue 20 or Wed 21 Aug, from 6.30 until 7.15, please let the office know.
Parent Opinion Survey
Each year, the school conducts an opinion survey amongst a sample of the school community. The data from the survey will be used to inform and direct our future school planning and improvement. Thank you to the families who have already completed the survey. The survey will close on August 18.
Yangcheng Number One School – Sister School in China
I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge our Host Families for opening up their homes to accommodate a student from China this year. Thank you to Miss Cheng for organising a great week for our visitors.

Time: Students to be dropped off at 6:15pm.
Doors open at 6.40 pm – Concert begins at 7.00 pm sharp

BYOD Laptop Program
If you take your laptop home can you please ensure you charge it overnight.
If there is any damage or the laptop if not working correctly, please notify your class teacher ASAP.

Immunisation Certificates
If you have not done so already this year, can you please provide an updated Immunisation Certificate for your child/ren. You can download it from your Medicare account, which can be linked to MyGov. Please email to admin@silverton-ps.vic.edu.au.

Parking around school
Please be aware of the street signs around the school when parking and abide by the rules. Also be mindful of our neighbours and do not block their drive ways.

This year we have already raised over $10000 towards the upgrade of the play area outside LC1 And LC2.
Our epic Christmas in July Trivia and games night was a huge success. Thanks to all who came and made it an enjoyable night. It raised over $4000.
Thanks to all those who participated in the Tastepoint meat fundraiser.
We will be selling refreshments at the school concert next week.
School Athletics is fast appraoching, sausage sizzle notices have gone home. Please return them by next week.
