Chess Girls State Finals 19th October

On the 19th of October, 7 lovely girls from Silverton Primary school travelled to Doncaster Gardens Primary to participate in the Chess State Finals Girls competition. They competed against 9 other schools; totalling 76 students altogether who tried their best to outsmart their opponents.

Students received 1 point for a win, half a point for a draw and zero points for a loss. They each played 9 games of Chess. The results are as followed:



Bunseam Kheang - 4 points
Samantha Hunter - 4 and a half points
Courtney Bux - 4 and a half points
Joyce Meng - 3 and a half points
Amelie Flack - 3 and a half points
Lucy Thwaites - 1 and a half points
Zoe Wang - 2 and a half points
