At Silverton Primary School, the Physical Education Program aims to:

Develop the knowledge and skills that promote physical activity promote a healthy and physically active lifestyle develop specific motor skills (such as running, kicking, throwing, catching and striking) which enable an individual to function effectively in daily life and enable them to participate with enjoyment and a sense of achievement in a wide range of sports and activities to develop an understanding of the basic concepts of movement Motivate the students to gain and maintain a level of fitness necessary for a healthy lifestyle and appropriate for satisfying participation in chosen activities develop specific motor skills (such as running, kicking, throwing, catching and striking) which enable an individual to function effectively in daily life and enable them to participate with enjoyment and a sense of achievement in a wide range of sports and activities enhance the development of healthy social relationships and emotional development

The Physical Education Program implements a wide range of activities to ensure our students are given every opportunity to successfully achieve the programs aims. Activities that Silverton Primary School offers their students include:
